Help Finding Tickets
Can’t find an event?

Search the school, organization, or event on our Event Page.

If no results are found, the event you are attempting to locate may not be on sale yet, may be unpublished from public view, or could potentially be sold out. We recommend contacting the event host directly for further details on ticket availability. They will be able to give you the most up-to-date and accurate information.

Additionally, it is common for tickets to be sold under a home team’s school page. If you are a fan of a visiting team, it is recommended to search for your team’s opponent.  

Note: Some events may be locked with a passcode or presale code by the event organizer. Learn how to unlock tickets if an event host has provided a passcode or presale code.

How do I find an event using the Web?

There are several ways to locate events using the web. The newest method is to utilize our Event Page.

  1. Navigate to events.hometownticketing.com 
  2. Enter the School, Organization, or Event into the search bar.
  3. Depending on the selection from the populated results, you will be directed to the host’s ticketing page or the specific event.

In some instances, events are categorized for easier navigation. Selecting a team, division, or group prior to seeing the available events may be required.

Event hosts may send out direct event links to their patrons or may provide a link with all events they are hosting. Also, most event hosts will integrate the Hometown software into their website. Somewhere on the host website, there may be the ability to search and view available tickets for sale. This will look different for each host. Once you locate your event, learn more about how to purchase a ticket.

Direct Event Links

  1. Click the link provided by the host and it will take you directly to a page to select available tickets.

All Event Links

  1. Click the link provided and you may see multiple events.
  2. Locate the desired event and proceed with selecting available tickets.

In some instances, events are categorized for easier navigation. You may need to select a team, division, or group prior to seeing the available events.  

Integrated into Host Website

  1. Navigate to the website of your event host.
  2. Locate an option for Tickets or Box Office. This process will look different for every host.
  3. Locate the desired event and proceed with selecting available tickets.

Why can’t I see tickets available for an event?

The event you are attempting to purchase may not be on sale yet or could potentially be sold out. We recommend contacting the event host directly for further details on ticket availability. 

Additionally, it is common for tickets to be sold under a home team’s school page. If you are a fan of a visiting team, it is recommended to search for your team’s opponent.

How do I find events using the Fan App?

The Fan App allows patrons to locate events, review event details, save preferred event hosts, and make ticket purchases on iOS and Android devices. Events can be searched by event host, event name, and event location zip code.  

Finding an Event Using the Fan App

1.  Navigate to the Explore page, of the Fan App, by clicking Explore

2.  Using the search bar, type the name of the event host, the event name, or the zip code of the event location

3.  Results can be viewed by Schools & Organizations or Events

 4.  Click on the desired school, organization or event and begin the purchasing process

How do I purchase tickets on the Web?

Patrons can purchase and download tickets instantaneously without the need to download extra apps. All tickets purchased using the web will receive an email confirmation to the email address provided at checkout. 


To Purchase Tickets Using A Web Page

  1. Locate the direct web page of the event or search for the event on our Event Page. 
  2. Once viewing the event, use the + and - buttons, and select the quantity of tickets desired for each ticket type.
  3. Click the “Checkout” button.
  4. Enter the contact information. Note: Order confirmation and tickets will be sent to the email provided.  
  5. Enter the payment information.
  6. Read and acknowledge the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 
  7. Click “Submit Order”
How do I register for the Fan App?
  1. Download the Fan App on iOS or Android 
  2. Enter your email address associated with previous ticket or pass purchase. 
  3. Once you tab Send Verification Code, you will receive an email with a verification code to enter on the next screen. 
  4. Enter the code you received in the email and tap Next.
  5. You will land on the app’s home screen once the code has been verified. For a downloadable copy of these instructions, click here.
How do I purchase tickets using the Fan App?

The Fan App allows patrons to purchase tickets, store tickets, transfer tickets, and save preferred event hosts all from your smartphone.

To Purchase Tickets Using the Fan App 

  1. Locate the event using the Fan App search on iOS or Android .
  2. Using the + and - buttons, select the quantity of tickets desired for each ticket type.
  3. Click the Checkout button.
  4. Enter the contact information. 
  5. Read and acknowledge the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 
  6. Select Manually Enter Payment
  7. If appliable to the event, enter required guest details.
  8. Enter contact information.
  9. Enter payment information. 
  10. Click Submit Order

How Do I Use an Event Code?

Event hosts have the option to use passcodes, presale codes, and promotional codes with every event. Passcodes and presale codes can be used to access tickets not available to the general public. For example, to unlock special ticket levels or to redeem reserved seating. Promocodes or discount codes can be used to access special offers during checkout. It is at the discretion of the host to use codes and some events may not have any codes associated with them.  

Using a Passcode or Presale Code

  1. When viewing an event, click Have a Passcode?
  2. Enter the valid passcode or presale code. 
  3. Click Apply.

Using a Promocode or Discount Code

  1. Add tickets to your cart.
  2. Proceed to checkout.
  3. Enter the valid promotional code.
  4. Click Apply.

Note: If your code is not working, ensure that it is not expired and that the terms of the offer are met. All codes are distributed from the event host.

Can My Passcode Be Used at The Gate?

Passcodes must be used online or in the app in order to purchase the tickets. Passcodes are not eligible for redemption while at the gate.

Can I Purchase a Ticket to an Event Without Having a Phone?

Tickets can be purchased using a computer, tablet or smartphone. Use our Event Page to buy and access your tickets. 

If unable to access a computer, tablet or a smartphone, please contact the event host and they will be able to create an order for you. Hometown is not authorized to create orders for any events.

Charges & Refunds
Will I Receive an Automatic Refund For a Cancelled Or Rescheduled Event?

It is at the discretion of an event host to refund tickets for a canceled event or transfer tickets to a rescheduled event.  Hometown recommends contacting the event host directly for further details on their policies. 

If the Event is Rescheduled

If the event host chooses to reschedule the event,

  • The event host may choose to honor existing tickets for the rescheduled event.
  • The event host may choose to automatically send new tickets for the rescheduled event.  These new tickets would be sent to the email address provided in the original order.

If the Event is Not Rescheduled

If the event host chooses not to reschedule the event, please review the information below. 

  • If a refund is processed, an email confirmation will be sent out. From the processing date, it can take approximately 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect.
  • If you do not hear from your event host within a week, Hometown recommends you contact the event host directly for a status update on their decision.
Can I Exchange My Ticket For a Different Event?

Hometown follows the policy set by the event host for refunds, exchanges, and rescheduling events. In many cases, event hosts share these details on the event web page.  Please contact the event host for specifics around your desired event.

Can I Receive a Refund?

Hometown partners with your school, and every school has a specific refund policy. Since it is their event and their ticket funds, we cannot refund without their permission. Please reach out to the school or the event organizer for the event you attended, and if we receive confirmation and permission from them to issue a refund, we will do so.

Receiving Tickets
How Do I Use My Pass?

Accessing Passes:

There are three ways to access your passes after purchase:

  1. Email: All passes are sent to the email address provided at checkout.
  2. Website: You can view and manage your passes on the Event Page.
  3. Hometown Fan App: Access your passes directly from the “Passes” section within the Hometown Fan App on iOS or Android.

Using Passes:

Each pass can be used by either scanning at the event or checking yourself in, depending on the host’s policy. 

Scanning:

Simply show your pass’s QR code to the event staff for scanning. You can access the QR code in several ways:

  1. Mobile Wallet: Display it directly from your mobile wallet.
  2. Website: View and present the QR code on the Event Page.
  3. Hometown Fan App: Access the QR code within the app’s “Passes” section on iOS or Android.
  4. Printed PDF: If you prefer a physical copy, you can display the QR code from the downloaded PDF version of your pass.

Self Check-In:

To use your pass for a self check-in event, either visit the Event Page or open the Hometown Fan App.

  1. Select Your Pass: Locate the specific pass you want to use.
  2. View Today’s Events: You’ll see a list of events your pass is valid for that day.
  3. Self Check-In: Choose the event you’re attending, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the self-check-in process for your pass.

Note: If you’re having trouble viewing your pass on the Hometown Website or the Fan App, please check the following:

  1. Profile Information: Ensure that the contact information associated with your profile matches the information you used during checkout.
  2. Individual Login: Each pass holder must log in to their own HomeTown account to access their passes, corresponding with the details entered at checkout for each pass.
I Can’t Find My Tickets For My Purchased Event.

Need Help Finding Your Tickets? Here’s What You Can Do!

We understand how important it is for you to find your tickets quickly and easily. If you’re having trouble seeing your tickets in the Fan App, on our website, or haven’t received your confirmation email yet, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

1. Missing Tickets in the Fan App

Please ensure your profile is up-to-date. Sometimes, adding any additional email addresses or phone numbers you may have used can help locate your tickets.

2. Can’t Find Tickets on Our Website

Just like the Fan App, updating your profile on our Events Page with any other possible email addresses or phone numbers can make all the difference.

3. Missing Confirmation Email?

  1. Check Your Bank: Make sure your ticket purchase isn’t still pending. Only completed transactions trigger a confirmation email.
  2. Search All Folders: Sometimes emails sneak into spam or junk folders, so it’s worth a look there.

4. Verify Your Email Address

A typo during purchase can misdirect your confirmation. If you suspect this might be the case, submit a fan support request including the event information and proper email. We will resend your tickets to the correct email!

Can You Resend My Ticket To a Different Email?

How do I transfer a ticket using the Fan App?

Transferring a ticket can be useful if the person purchasing the ticket is different than the person redeeming the ticket. Tickets can be transferred one time using the Fan App on iOS or Android .

How to Transfer a Ticket 

  1. Once a ticket has been purchased, click the Tickets button at the bottom of the Fan App to view your available tickets.
  2. Locate the event of the ticket to be transferred.
  3. Select the ticket to be transferred.
  4. Select the Transfer Ticket option in the lower right-hand corner of the ticket.
  5. Enter the recipient information and acknowledge the terms. 
  6. Click Transfer Ticket.
What is a Mobile-Only Event?

A Mobile Only event means the host has elected to only accept digital tickets. To gain entry into this event, present your digital ticket on a smartphone. An attendant at the event will verify your tickets when you perform a “self check-in” from your device. 

If you are purchasing a ticket for a Mobile Only event, your ticket will not be eligible for printing at home.  Confirmation emails and screenshots will also not be valid for entry.

Prior to purchasing tickets, a Digital/Mobile Only notification will be shown on the event.

How do I add additional email and phone numbers to my profile?

Additional email and phone numbers may be added to profiles. An example where this might be beneficial is if work and personal emails are used to purchase tickets. Once multiple have been saved, a primary email and phone number will need to be selected to receive communications. Additionally, emails and phone numbers may be deleted if they are no longer needed.  

To Add Additional Emails

  1. Log into our Events Page.
  2. Click My Account.
  3. Select Manage Account.
  4. Under the Account tab, click + Add an email address.
  5. Enter the desired email to be added to the profile.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Enter the six digit verification code send to the email entered.
  8. Click Finish.

To Add Additional Phone Numbers

  1. Log into our Events Page.
  2. Click My Account.
  3. Select Manage Account.
  4. Under the Account tab, click + Add a phone number.
  5. Enter the desired phone number to be added to the profile.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Enter the six-digit verification code texted to the phone number entered.
  8. Click Finish.

To Add Additional Email or Phone Numbers using the Fan App

  1. Log into the Fan App on iOS or Android 
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Profile.
  4. Tap + Add a phone number or + Add an email address
  5. Enter the desired information.
  6. Tap Continue.
  7. Enter the six digit verification code.  If adding a new phone number, this will be texted.  If adding a new email, this will be emailed.
  8. Tap Finish.
Getting an error that the phone number is taken?

When attempting to add a phone number to a profile, you’re getting an error message that says “That phone number is taken, Please try another.”

To Reassociate A Phone Number from a Profile 

  1. Click Cancel
  2. Select My Account.
  3. Click Log Out.
  4. Log in with the profile associated to the phone number.
  5. Select My Account.
  6. Click Manage Account.
  7. Click the drop-down arrow next to the phone number you want to associate to the other account.
  8. Click Remove phone number.
  9. Reattempt to add the phone number to the original profile.
Can I Transfer My Ticket To Someone Else?

Ticket’s may be sent to someone else if you are not planning on using them by transferring your ticket in the Hometown Fan App or sending the ticket via email. Each ticket can be transferred up to 3 times.

How Will I Receive My Tickets?

When tickets are purchased, they will be emailed to the address provided at checkout. They are also available for download immediately following the transaction by choosing Download Tickets on the order confirmation page. 

  • The email will come from “Your Event Host” Box Office with the subject line Your receipt and tickets for “Event Name”. Tickets are emailed upon purchase confirmation, but may take as long as 5 minutes to reach your email.
  • You can download the Hometown Fan App for iOS and Android to access your tickets directly on your device by only using your phone number.

How Do I Redeem My Tickets?

Option 1 – Print Tickets at Home

  1. Access your email from a computer
  2. Open and download the PDF attachment
  3. Print out the tickets
  4. Bring the printed ticket to the event to be scanned at the event host
  5. Enjoy the event! 

 

Option 2 – Mobile Tickets sent to your Email

  1. Access your email on your mobile device
  2. Open the purchase confirmation email 
  3. Download and open the attached PDF tickets 
  4. Show device to ticket scanner with QR Code prominently displayed
  5. Scroll through multiple PDF tickets to scan multiple tickets
  6. Enjoy the event! 

 

Option 3 – Mobile Tickets using the Fan App

  1. Open the Hometown Fan App on iOS or Android 
  2. Select Tickets from the bottom toolbar
  3. Select My Tickets or My Passes at the top depending on what type of ticket was purchased
  4. Select the event you wish to attend
  5. Show device to ticket scanner with QR Code prominently displayed
  6. Scroll through to scan multiple tickets
  7. Enjoy the event!
Do I Need To Print Out My Ticket?

No, all tickets will be attached as a PDF file to the confirmation email. Tickets may be printed or may be scanned directly from your smartphone.
