What is Hometown’s Engage solution?

Hometown Engage is a website platform for schools to showcase athletics, performing arts, clubs, and events. It centralizes schedules, rosters, ticketing, and other resources — all in one easy-to-manage site that highlights everything happening in your school community.

Is it really free to use?

Yes. There is no cost to create or use an Engage website for your athletics, performing arts, summer camps, or other school programs.

Is the site mobile-friendly and ADA-compliant?

Yes. Engage websites are mobile-responsive and accessible on any device. We take ADA compliance seriously to ensure your site is inclusive and usable for all fans and community members.

How do I or my staff manage the website?

Management is simple. Use your existing Box Office login to update tickets, post events, and manage content — all from one centralized platform and the ability to add multiple users with different permissions. Changes can be made from any device, desktop or mobile, with no need to update information in multiple systems.

How are my events populated on the site?

If you're using Hometown Box Office for digital ticketing, your events are automatically synced with your Engage site. Everything is managed in one place, eliminating the need to duplicate work or re-enter information.

Does this include all sports and activities at my school?

Yes! Hometown Engage can support all sports and activities, showcasing the various teams, schedules, and programs across a school or district.

Will there be ads on my Engage website?

No. However, if your school would like to sell sponsor placements and include them on your site, this feature can be turned on upon request.

 Can I use any domain I want?

Yes. You can use any available domain. We will help you find your preferred URL, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Is the website customizable?

Absolutely! These sites offer extensive customization — from integrating your school's branding (logos and colors) to setting up custom navigation, content pages, and a dedicated resources section tailored to your priorities.

Am I required to use a specific streaming provider?

No, not at all. You have the freedom to link to any streaming provider you choose. The system's flexibility allows you to work with your preferred platform, whether it's NFHS Network, Hudl, YouTube, or any other service.

How do I get started?

What is Hometown’s Box Office solution?

Box Office is Hometown's digital ticketing and event management platform built specifically for schools and organizations. It offers a streamlined, professional way to manage events, sell tickets, track sales, and improve the overall fan and staff experience, all from a single, customizable platform. Box Office offers solutions for digital ticketing, seat mapping, season passes, point-of-sale, and real-time reporting.

How much does it cost schools to use?

There is no cost for schools and organizations to use the Hometown Box Office! No setup fees. No onboarding fees. And no subscription costs. All features, including customized seat maps and point-of-sale functionality, are included.

What can Box Office be used for?

Box Office can be used anytime you need to sell tickets or process digital sales — from athletic events and performances to banquets, dances, and even concessions. From entry to experience, if there's something to sell or track, Box Office has it covered.

How quickly will I receive funds from ticket sales?

Funds are immediately available in your account and can be deposited to your bank account as soon as 48 hours after a ticket sale.

Schools can schedule automatic transfers from Box Office to their school account on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This helps improve cash flow and eliminates the need to reconcile cash or checks after events.

Can I still accept cash payments?

Yes. We understand that some schools may still want, or are required by law, to provide cash payment options. Hometown can support and log these payments consistently with your digital sales to ensure your operations are audit-proof and you have full visibility into every ticket sold.

What support does Hometown offer?

What if fans and families need help with their tickets?

Does Box Office allow for season tickets and season passes?

Yes! Box Office supports selling season passes online with automatic renewal options each year.

Am I able to provide complimentary tickets?

Yes! Box Office allows for the use of promo and pass codes, facilitating the seamless distribution of complimentary tickets. These are able to be redeemed just like a regular ticket, eliminating the need for manual spreadsheets or slowed lines.

Admins are also able to send comp tickets to recipients directly, eliminating the checkout process.

What financial reporting is available?

Hometown offers real-time, cloud-based financial reporting dashboards that give schools and districts complete visibility into ticket sales, revenue, and event data. With Hometown, you can also request automated finance reports be sent directly to your inbox.

Do fans need to create an account to buy tickets?

No! Fans can easily purchase and access their tickets through the Hometown Fan App or the Hometown Website using just their phone number or email. There's no password needed; they'll simply verify their identity with a secure multi-factor authentication (MFA) process.

Are there any opportunities for sponsorship ads on my tickets?

Yes! Hometown supports custom branding and sponsorship placements, allowing you to feature local advertisers or school messages on your Box Office tickets.

What is Schoolfundr, Hometown’s fundraising solution?

Schoolfundr is a free and simple way to raise money. It’s built for teachers, coaches, and parents — so you can spend time on students, not on fundraising. We believe all students should have the resources they need to reach their full potential. We make it easy for friends and family to easily support teams, clubs, groups and programs.

How does it work?

With Schoolfundr, we enable you to raise more funds with less work. It's simple:

  • ‍‍Create your page: Create your campaign in a personalized way, no superhuman skills are required. Tell your story and start raising money in no time, without hassle.
  • Get the word out: Easily share your campaign with friends and family on social media to grow your funding.
  • Exceed your goal: Raise your money safely and securely without any paltform fees. Receive your money when your campaign ends.
Who is Schoolfundr for? What can I raise money for?

This solution is ideal for activity directors, coaches, and teachers who need to raise money without sacrificing a large percent of the funds raised to fees. Fundraising for band and choir competitions, theatre productions, and team equipment, meals, and trips are the most popular, but there are no restrictions — raise money for what your community needs most!

Is it really free to use?

Yes! Schoolfundr is 100% free, with no contracts, no subscription plan, and no surprise fees — thanks to the generosity of optional tips from your donors.

The only fees deducted from the funds you raise are to cover the payment processing fees of our payment processor Stripe (2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction). These fees allow your donations to be securely processed, and your funds to be securely deposited into your account at the end of your fundraiser.

How quickly can I access my funds?

We will hold your funds safely until your fundraiser has ended and you are ready to withdraw it. You can transfer your funds directly to your bank account or a debit card via Stripe, or we can mail you a physical check.

How do you keep fundraised money safe?

The Schoolfundr platform features the very best in secure payment encryption technology. Your donors’ online payments are safe, and your money is stored securely until your fundraiser is over and you are ready to request a withdrawal via electronic bank transfer or check. Do I need to sign up or create an account to donate?

No. When you share the fundraising link with your community they’re able to donate directly in just a few clicks, with no need to sign up or log in.

Can I add participants to my campaign?

Yes! We've made it easy to add your students or participants to your fundraisers and give them each a dedicated fundraiser page. It is easy to invite them to join via email, link, or manually. It’s easy for your students to join our fundraisers- right from their phone- and start adding potential donors

 Do I get dedicated support or do I have to pay extra?

No. All of our campaigns come with a dedicated fundraising expert to help you maximize the amount of money you are able to raise, and it's all included at no extra charge.

How can I get additional help?

Can I track cash/check payments?

Yes, you can add an offline donation (cash or check) to your fundraiser and we will include it in your fundraiser's progress towards reaching your goal.

What fees are my donors charged at checkout?

None! That is the beauty of Schoolfundr. Not only are there no fees for participating schools and organizations, there are no fees for the donor. All we ask is for an optional tip from each donor to help keep Schoolfundr free to use.
